Dru had been collecting art over the last many years during his travels and stays in Italy, France, Greece and other parts of the  world before he started to explore his own artistic abilities. He is a self taught artist who is influenced and inspired by the neo-impressionist movement of the late 19th century. Most of his paintings are based on the moments he captures during his travels.

He employs a pointillist technique to create his work.  He uses his canvas as a palette. Using only primary colours (red, blue, yellow and white) he applies layer upon layer of dots to create the desired colour and form
